LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Well despite trying to avoid it for the 6 or 7 months I've had my blog- I had my first full blown blog argument yesterday... It's ironic because I specifically said in the post that caused the argument that I only wanted to give a personal perspective on attending Monday's Immigration Rights Protest... I didn't want to argue the issues that cause the protest I just wanted to tell my story on how it felt to be there... but none of that mattered, I ended up in a debate with one of my favorite bloggers that ended in accusations and hurt feelings.

I never wanted my blog to be that kind of blog... Which brings me to a tough decision... I'm going to be taking a break from blogging... From my blog at least. I'm going to continue reading other blogs, but mine is going to take a leave of absence.... Not because of the argument- it's just that I don't really like my blog right now and I want to change things... The plan is to take some time to settle in to my new job- change my blog- come up with a more set posting schedule and then come back refreshed and renewed and better than ever. The arguement just seems like a good place to take a break and re-evaluate what I want this blog to be.

I realize that it's more than a little dramatic for a guy who runs a blog that gets 30 hits per day to say he needs to take a break- but that's just who I am... I take my self way too seriously, but then again- how could I not take myself seriously... after all, I am the guy who did all of this:

So anyway, I hope you guys will still be here when my blog comes back. It was either take a break or wander the country side with a beard and Jesus sandles... and since I'm supposed to start a new job I figured I'd just take the break.

Don't be away long, I seem to remember you were somewhat responsible for me starting my blog.
You get a lot of readers because yours is a good blog.

ps: I hope you settle into the new job ok.

Good luck with the new job. New posts with your unique outlook and humor (not to forget, frequent fast food stories) will be missed.

Awwwwww...
Well understood though.
I think all of us, as bloggers, go though this same emotion at one time or another. I've taken my long break too. Last year sometime I think. I can't remember.

You'll be back feeling better and refreshed!
Just make sure and drop by and let us know when you're back in blogsphere!

;-)

Good Luck and have a good vacation!

Cindylu is right. You take it too seriously, it can overtake and overwhelm you...and it will lead to having some kind of argument/mixed feelings about someone you've never even met.

It's the the two worlds—the real world and the blogosphere—colliding. It's funny how the blog format brings so much information, ideas, y opinions together, pero becuase it's in words and not in voice or in person, the meaning depends on the person.

Hope to see you around in some way or another.I'll miss your undisputed collection of famous people pictures. Maybe one day I'll forgive you for breaking Salmita's heart. ;)
